Erin Carlisle Norton’s solo dance film “O my soul” will be featured alongside other site-specific works that explore land & longing, earth & fragility, memory & climate change.
Dance & Architecture Exploratory Lab (NYC)The Moving Architects will explore the intersection of architecture and movement in collaboration with Professors Ashlie Boelkins and Olivia Pontiff and Master of Architecture graduate students from the School of Architecture & Design at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Students will develop an understanding of Laban space harmony as led by Artistic Director Erin Carlisle Norton, and immerse in a workshop between the students and professional dancers. The Moving Architects will explore movement in response to the student’s designs or “choreography” of their creative works. The goal of the Exploratory Lab is to ignite a creative process for both disciplines where the bodies’ relationship to emotion and space are in focus.
Come out to Weequahic Park in Newark, NJ and enjoy an exciting afternoon of dance and choreography by local established and up and coming dancers and companies. This event is free and open to all! Featuring The Moving Architects alongside Susan Ramirez and Ray Ruiz, IMGE Dance, Zoey Crenshaw, InnerGy, Nicole Ohr/Cole Collective, and Kofago Dance Ensemble.

The Moving Architects will have an artist residency at MANA Contemporary in Jersey City through the Monira Foundation. The Monira Foundation Artist Residencies Program started in 2018 as a radical experimental laboratory, working in close collaboration with artists, curators, musicians, producers, and writers to conceive, realize, and present innovative projects in all media. Their aim is to spark, intensify, and promote an evolving cultural and social dialogue between creators, audiences, and institutions and focus on the unique potential of interdisciplinary work
